Rooted in tradition
Made to empower.
I am not a born tea lover. Growing up, I found teas to be a smoother, non-jitter pick-me-up with more complex tastes than coffee. When I started my first job, I usually drink one cup in the afternoon and that’s it.

It was not until the Memorial weekend in 2018 that tea became a ritual to me. On that Saturday afternoon, I boiled water, prepared loose leaves and steeped piping hot tea multiple times until there were no further flavors. While still indulging in the process, I suddenly realized it was the first time, from college to work, that I spaced out for good. At that moment, I was so focused on the present, tring to taste as many flavors as I can, that I totally forgot the hustle and bustle of the day. Ever since, I fell in love with tea. The ritualized process, the blissfully silky tastes, and most importantly the empowerment from the tranquility combined allow me to start my day with confidence and a clear mind.

Inspired by this, we started this endeavor to explore the greatness both in tea-making and in ourselves. For most of us the everyday world, comprised of laborious tasks and routines, is consumed by stress and anxiety. Many of us seek to achieve a practical transcendence from the everyday set, and we believe a hearty cup of tea leads us to the very same stillness of mind.

Over the next few years, we went all over the world seeking the highest quality teas and even started our own organic farms in Fujian and Yunnan, because we are unsatisfied with the quality of the teas on the market. We are thrilled to asborb different cultures and tastes——the Yunnanese drink fermented teas; the Tibetans drink buttered, salted teas; the Indians have spiced Chai and the Brazilians have infused mate…you name it. For us, it is our own exploration of finding the teas we love to share with you.
